Who will receive the handmade cards?
The cards will be sent to recipients near and far, young and old -- to people in the armed forces, in skilled nursing facilities, people who are challenged with health problems or struggling with personal issues, or affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Jill Sabel ValavanisI love art, I love to make art, I love to teach art. I also love ice cream!
I was born in Oakland. My parents moved our family to Sonoma in 1975. I attended Altimira and Sonoma Valley High School. Then I moved away for twenty years. I got married, earned a Master of Fine Arts, started teaching art, had two babies, and decided to come back to Sonoma Valley and settle in El Verano. Here we are in 2017 and my kids are almost grown. I've had the opportunity to teach art at the Sonoma Community Center, the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, several elementary schools, and at Art Escape. Thank you to Creative Sonoma for starting the Pop Up Creativity Grant program which provided the funding for Love Letter Art Walk. |
